Using our easy to use train times website, getting from A to B has never been easier.[/vc_column_text][vc_message color=”info”]The Rail Record Live Train Times and UK Rail Timetables feature is still in development, and will be ready soon. We expect this feature to be ready before 1st January 2019.[/vc_message][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Live train times for most UK stations

Rail Record has live train times for most stations in England, Scotland and Wales.

Easy to read train times layout

It is clear what trains call at what station. Stations where a train stops are annotated with a stop watch icon. The train schedule table rows are set in alternating colours so its easy to follow.

Find connecting train services with ease

If you need to catch multiple trains, you can tap on a station on the train schedule page to take you to a list of services at that station, around the same time that your train gets in to that station.

Detailed service information

We show detailed train service information such as the train operator (useful if your train ticket excludes you from travelling on certain services) and whether it has been cancelled.

Typical train type analysis

(Coming Soon 2019) We’ll provide an option for people to add information about train services, such as short formations, unusual workings etc (free account required). This will also enable trainspotters to add train allocations and “gen” that they’ve seen working for services.

Email alert updates

(Coming Soon 2019) In addition to the above free user account, we plan for you to be able to get notified about service updates such as when a train gets to a certain location, or if its cancelled or altered.

Historical train times

We’ll aim to keep a history of train schedules for around a year after they ran (subject to database storage allowance).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][tm_carousel_father dot=”false”][tm_carousel_son image_id=”588″][/tm_carousel_son][tm_carousel_son image_id=”589″][/tm_carousel_son][/tm_carousel_father][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_btn title=”Search Live Train Times” color=”warning” align=”center” el_class=”homepagebutton” link=”url:%2Frail%2Fbasic|||”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css_animation=”bounceIn”]

How To Search Live Train Times

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”appear”]

Train Status Codes

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”]The right most column of the Rail Record live train times search results page shows a train’s running status. It can be one of 3 things as outlined below. If you’re using a small screen such as on a mobile, only the status icon will appear. You’ll need to click on the schedule to view its detailed status.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”466″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]A red status with a cross means the train is cancelled. A 2 digit code in brackets refers to the cancellation reason. Click on the train service to view the cancellation reason.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”463″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]An orange status with a ticked clipboard means that the train schedule has been activated. Activations will usually be made 1 or 2 hours before departure (automatic activation) or they’ll be called manually (from a few seconds to a few hours before departure). All trains that run are activated, but not all activated trains will run.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”465″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]3 dots mean that the train service has not been activated. Unless it gets activated, the train service probably won’t run. Trains are usually activated a few hours before departure, but can be activated a few seconds before leaving.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”462″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]A green status means the train is running, and has left it’s origin. The first part shows its current or most recent location, and the part in the brackets is it’s performance. The number shows minutes, and the letter shows if its early (E) or late (L). If a train is on time, it’ll show as (OT).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”464″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]The blue status means the train is off route and has been diverted from it’s usual schedule.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
